What are the Webmaster Modules
The WebmasterModules v3.0 allows any site administrator to control every page, display preference, file, and template on the website. The Modules include a back-end interface which connects you directly to your database. With the Modules you can customize access control, database editing, uploading, file manipulation and much more.
The Modules are spread across five cgi scripts, three perl modules, and dozens of customizable pref files. Ten years in the making, the modules have been used to create well over 100 websites since it's creation.
Going Live The Modules feature an html cache blanket which provides an html page for every entry, section, and sub page in a group. This html blanket creates a search friendly site, protects against denial of server attacks, speeds up all web apache requests, and allows for administrators to make edits prior to changing the front-end. Each table has a custom publish routine which can be used to publish up to ten pages, run outside scripts, ftp, email notify, and more. Authorized Module users can visit any html page on the site and click the "Go Live" link to be instantly redirected to a simple edit form for the page. This form only shows the content (meat of the page) which allows all skill levels to make changes quickly and safely to the site.
License Owners of a Modules license are entitled to run and user the Modules on the domain to which the license was issued. The Modules software package is not to be shared or distributed in anyway.
Guarantee Owners of a Module subscription from Gigfoot are entitled to free upgrades and include a site-wide system guarantee that you website will always remain operational. Should a process of your website ever break, we are responsible for fixing the error and upgrading the site.
The WebmasterModules can:
- Interface with the following applications: SendMail, Apache, MySQL, ImageMagick, Lame, PovRay.
- Manipulate over 30 filetypes including image scaling, cropping, and formatting. Flash swf conversion, mp3 streaming, Excel spreadsheet exporting/importing.
- Talk to and listen from: HTML, Flash, JavaScript, POST, GET, Socket, Mail.
- Robot Monitor which allows the creation, management, and logging of multiple robots.
- Four seperate levels of access with full support for apache groups and users, htaccess, cookies, and ip logging. Additionally, a customizable privilege system has been created which allows for additional access control for your users.
- New users can join your site automatically, or wait for approval by an administrator.
